Academic Background
Dr. med. vet. Nathalie Elisa Fouché is a Diplomate of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) and a Senior Assistant at the Institute of Equine Medicine (ISME) at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern in Switzerland. She completed her veterinary studies at the University of Leipzig and Justus-Liebig University Giessen, graduating with a state examination in 2008. She also spent a year abroad at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich.
Dr. Fouché completed an internship at “Cotts Farm Equine Hospital” in Wales, followed by a doctoral thesis at the University of Zurich, focusing on the pharmacokinetics of transdermal Carprofen application. She then completed an internship and ECEIM residency at ISME in Bern, achieving her ECEIM Diplomate status in 2016. Since 2021, she has been a lecturer at the University of Bern.
